Our Rooms
Baby Room

We care for up to twelve children aged between three months and two years in our well equipped baby room.
Our baby room comprises of a main area in which the children play and eat with a separate sleep area, behind large glass windows to the back of the room - thus enabling us to keep a close eye on the children even whilst they sleep.
In our main play room we have a quiet area for younger babies to sit and play with soft toys and rattles or the older ones to rest and look at books.
We also aim to provide a role play corner, two active zones and a messy area within the room. The messy area is used for both messy play such as sand, water, painting and eating. The baby room staff have all been working with us for a number of years, and most of them have children of their own. They are all qualified and also hold first aid certificates.
The baby room staff are familiar with the early years foundation stage, and have attended courses on how best to deliver this to the children, or have had in house training on this subject. The staff continually observe and assess each child and produce an assessment file, which they share with parents at parents evenings or scheduled meetings.
In the nappy change area we have a purpose built changing unit and laundry facilities. We also have a milk fridge that stores the babies bottles until they are needed. All formula milk, feeding bottles and beakers are provided by the nursery for each child. We also provide baby wipes, sudocream and Vaseline for the changing of nappies.
In the sleep area we provide travel cots for sleeping as well as sheets and blankets for each child.
The nursery staff are aware of the importance of a child's routine and your child's key worker will meet with you for an initial induction before your child commences to enable us to be fully prepared for his arrival.

Leading directly off the back of the baby room is the nursery garden, which is used daily by the babies.
Front/Middle Room

The older children, aged between two years and five years have use of two main rooms to the front of the nursery plus a bathroom and the nursery garden.
The two main rooms are divided into two main areas the front room is where most of the children's toys and games are as well as the children's computer, and the middle room is our messy room where the children have messy play e.g. sand, water, painting, gluing and the role play area is also situated in this room. Both rooms are used between the children throughout the day and the children are encouraged to move between the two rooms and independently choose their own activities.
The nursery is well stocked with a wide range of toys, games and puzzles. We also have a computer with a very wide range of educational CD ROMs.
The Children also have access to our lovely garden and make use of it every day. In the nursery garden children are encouraged to help maintain the nursery plants as well as help take care of the nursery rabbits, Snowy & Rusty. They also undertake planned activities as well as activities that encourage the development of physical skills.
